Thomas Whitham Sixth Forms offers one of the largest varieties of A Level across the whole of Lancashire. As a Sixth Form the majority of our focus is on A Levels, but as you will see below we do offer vocational courses in a few different areas. Economics is a topical and interesting Advanced Level subject studies in four units; two in each year. In the AS Level we look at some basic economic questions considering such things as: why house prices have changed so much; Why the government taxes petrol and cigarettes so highly; Why university students aren’t charged the full cost of their courses.
