Extended Project

Subject Description

The Extended Project provides a marvellous opportunity for you to acquire and develop skills in research, critical analysis and project management.  You will undertake a project on a topic entirely of your choice.  The skills acquired from the Extended Project will prove to be of great value when you move on to Higher Education.  Leading universities welcome the EPQ as an indicator of realised skills and potential ability in the fiercely competitive application process.

At Thomas Whitham Sixth Form, as an EPQ candidate, you will attend a weekly tutorial and have an individual Supervisor who will support and guide you throughout.  The culmination of all our students research is displayed at our annual EPQ Presentation Evening in September.
