The focus of this course is on participation and performance in physical activity as part of a balanced, active and healthy lifestyle. As a PE student you will increase your physical competence and develop your involvement and effectiveness in physical activity. This course will enable you to become an informed and discerning decision-maker in relation to your own and others’ involvement in physical activity.
If you already have an active sporting life, your sporting prowess will contribute to your final grade with 40% of the final mark being attributed to your practical performance.
The style of teaching for this syllabus is varied, although emphasis is based on practical activities in some of the key areas. We use our own sports facilities, including our sports hall and fitness suite, climbing wall, Multi Use Games Area and All Weather Pitch.
